Concerts & Festivals

The Michigan Irish Music Festival, presented by Family Financial Credit Union, announces the 2026 Cultural line-up. This celebration of Irish heritage, music, and camaraderie will be held September 17-20, 2026 at Heritage Landing in Muskegon. In addition to over 25 musical artists on six stages, this year’s festival features unforgettable experiences, classes, and presentations designed to immerse patrons in the richness of Irish and Celtic traditions.

A standout activity in 2025, “Not Your Dadio’s Ceili” is back! This energetic, inclusive group dance experience is hosted by Ceili caller Éamonn de Cógáin. Participants of all skill levels will be guided through a vibrant square-dance style event filled with merriment and laughter.

Another exciting and interactive highlight is the Hurling Demonstration. Guests can try their hand at the unique sport Saturday from 11am-4pm. Additional interactive workshops include sessions on Celtic drumming, flute playing, and limerick writing. The ever popular Celtic Canines will be available for a meet and greet on Sunday from 11am-2pm.

Festivalgoers can enjoy several storytelling opportunities including live actors from Muskegon’s “City of the Dead” portraying notable people from local history on Friday night from 8:30-9:30pm. Stop at the Wake House, to learn about the longstanding Irish tradition, or attend a session on the ancient manuscript, The Book of Kells, highlighting the replica displayed at Muskegon's own Hackley Public Library.

Culinary enthusiasts will appreciate live cooking demonstrations from the Baker College Culinary Institute of Michigan, featuring authentic Irish cuisine. For guests 21 and older, separately ticketed Tasting Classes are available including Whiskey Tasting & Cheese Pairing with Wonderland Distilling Company and a Five Farms Irish Cream Cocktail Mixology Class.
