Limerick singer-songwriter Shane Marno has released a new single, Cured by a Chicken Roll, on March 6th. The song looks at overthinking and anxiety through the familiar idea of “the cure”, using everyday moments and humour to explore how people try to steady themselves when their head won’t switch off.
The track is built around detailed fingerpicked guitar parts and develops into an upbeat, catchy chorus with a sing-along section. The production layers guitars, piano, percussion and vocals to create a full sound that stays natural.
Lyrically, the song moves between light and heavy, touching on hangovers, family, and the small routines people fall back on when things feel overwhelming. Fans of Aaron Rowe and contemporary Irish singer-songwriters will recognise the focus on melody and straightforward storytelling.
Cured by a Chicken Roll released on March 6th and is available on all streaming platforms.
