This coming March Irish Tenor PAUL BYROM follows in the long history of Irish tenors who have come to tour America. Byrom, a Dublin born tenor, grew up studying classical music and also specialised in the works of the great John McCormick.
With his first studio album being released at the tender age of 14, Paul Byrom got the taste of performing from a young age.
This brought him to the attention of many musical directors and producers over the years and at 22, he joined the touring show The Three Irish Tenors. Following a number of large tours of America with the show, Paul returned to solo work and released his first major album as a tenor called VELVET with a 56 piece orchestra. This album shot him into the medias attention and as a result was filling venues in Ireland, such as the National Concert Hall. In 2006 legendary composer and producer, Phil Coulter invited Paul to join a new show he was co producing called CELTIC THUNDER. The show became an instant PBS hit in America and their success grew as far as Canada and Australia and had 6 no.1 albums and were named Billboard’s International Act of The Year.
After touring with the show for 5 years Paul returned to his solo work and produced his next big album called THIS IS THE MOMENT which shot straight to no.1 on the World Billboard Charts. This was followed then by his own PBS tv special by the same name. He has continued to tour America as a soloist and this past autumn, Paul returned to the lineup of Celtic Thunder for a 40 city tour of America.
In March, Paul will be back on the road again with his own intimate show "Songs and Stories", and will be visiting 11 cities performing some of the most popular pieces from his 8 solo albums and of course some from his time with Celtic Thunder.
You can catch Paul in his intimate show at the following venues and cities, and there are more around the USA on the site!
