Irish-American fighter Micah Ashby will face Master Chris Wetherington in a Light Heavyweight Kickboxing bout at the True Force Global Internationals, an international combat sports event featuring martial artists from around the world competing for World Championship titles.
The highly anticipated matchup between Ashby and Wetherington is scheduled to headline the tournament as the evening’s main event.
The Global Internationals showcases multiple combat disciplines and brings together athletes representing their respective nations in pursuit of world titles.
Ashby, a dual citizen of the United States and Ireland, will represent Ireland at the summer event. In 2025, he represented the Emerald Isle at the Martial Arts World Games, where he won the Gold Medal in kickboxing.
Ashby is also the first athlete in history to complete the Combat Sports Grand Slam—winning championships in a striking art, a grappling art, mixed martial arts, and professional wrestling. In recognition of his accomplishments, he was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2022.
