The longest-running black tie event in Chicago is back for the 178th Annual Saint Andrew’s Day Gala, “Feast of the Haggis”. The Chicago Scots, the first and oldest non-profit organization in Illinois will be throwing this grand Scottish party on Saturday, December 2 beginning at 6 p.m. This wonderfully elegant evening will be hosted in a new location at Wintrust’s Grand Banking Hall, located in the heart of downtown Chicago. Throughout this spectacular night of fun and tradition, attendees will enjoy the best of Scotland – bagpipes, highland dancing, tartans, toasts, awards, whisky tastings, cocktail reception, & a formal banquet featuring, of course, haggis. In the spirit of Scottish poet Robert Burns’ “Auld Lang Syne,” the event will “lift a cup o’ kindness,” as all proceeds will benefit the organization’s principal charity, Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care in North Riverside.
