The City of Peoria has allowed us to move forward with the event. The Parade Committee in turn has agreed to follow guidelines and advisement from the City of Peoria and The Illinois Department of Public Health. Due to concerns with spreading COVID-19, this year’s parade will be a little different than those of previous years. Instead of a traditional procession through the streets of downtown Peoria, we will be hosting a “Drive-Through” parade. Participants will be assigned a spot along the parade route (similar to the staging area assignment of the past,) and those wishing to view the parade will drive along the route, enjoying the decorated vehicles and floats from the safety and comfort of their vehicles.
Our parade is known for bringing friends and family together to celebrate and promote the ideals, traditions, and culture of our Irish heritage in a safe, family-oriented, fun atmosphere for all to enjoy. We hope you and your group will join us, either as a participant, spectator, or volunteer.
Registration information can be found here: www.stpatpeoria.com
On our application page, you will find all the information you need to register your group for the parade. If you prefer to register using traditional mail, you will also find a downloadable PDF containing all the required forms which you may print and mail.
Whether you use electronic or traditional registration, all entries are to be postmarked or submitted to the St. Patrick Society by March 7, 2021. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the parade committee and will be assessed a $50 late registration fee.
If you are unable to participate in this year’s parade, but wish to help support the event with a financial donation or as part of the volunteer staff, please contact me using the information below.
